Testimonials

“Levana is an innovative and skilled facilitator who accesses the larger

spirit of the group and places their process in the broader political and

historical context without losing the immediate relevancy of the moment.

Her warmth and passion for deep social change is palpable and infectious.”

Levana developed and delivered a workshop on authentic community engagement for a group of land trusts involved in what we are calling the Community Conservation Learning Journey.  From start to finish, Levana was a pleasure to work with.  As a thought partner and as a trainer, she listened to understand what we were looking for and complemented our needs with her own knowledge and expertise.  I particularly benefited from Levana’s insights about our group and our process, which she shared with compassion, kindness, and humor. I look forward to another opportunity to work with Levana.

We were struggling with a really complex problem. In order to find new solutions, we would have to bring diverse perspectives together in such a way that everyone could learn from each other and leave eager to work together. That takes a rare and valuable set of skills; fortunately, Levana Saxon was just who we needed.

“Levana hooked it up with helping me plan a phenomenal retreat.  The structure and ideas that she helped me to build for an all day retreat for new and returning youth in my program was so helpful.  The retreat was such a success and with what Levana gave me I was able to incorporate other staff and youth participants to meet all our objectives and giving a solid foundation for the work of BLING.

I have never had a “consultant” before,  so it was initially difficult to know how to use the support.  Now that I have figured it out, I am so grateful.”

~ Cathryn Carkhuff – Youth Leadership Institute

“I just wanted to give a huge thanks to Levana for all of her wonderful work on this project. Her tireless efforts in coordinating all of the partners and committing to making this a truly collaborative process are truly commendable.  I think this curriculum will be a great resource for all peer health education groups and beyond.”

Levana Saxon recently joined a facilitation team that I am part of to add her expertise and perspective on authentic community engagement for a learning journey of 20 conservationists.  Levana did an excellent job of gracefully joining an existing facilitation team and quickly and creatively adapting her approach and tailoring material to effectively meet where our group was in their experience. Levana quickly became an insightful and trusted member of our team and a much appreciated resource for our group.  Levana became personally invested in our work and gave us many insights that well beyond what we had originally asked of her.  I benefitted a great deal for working with Levana and I look forward to future opportunities to collaborate with her.
